Notice to Bidders: Qualified bidders may submit bids for Richmond Police Station for the City of Richmond as described in this Document and prepared by Brandstetter Carroll Inc. The project consists of the construction of the new Richmond Police Station and support buildings. Bids will be received for Single Prime Contract for the work.
Owner will receive sealed lump sum bids until the bid time and date at the location given below. Owner will consider bids prepared in compliance with the Instructions to Bidders issued by Owner, and delivered as follows:
1. Bid Date: July 30, 2026
2. Bid Time: 2:00 p.m., local time.
3. Location: Richmond City Hall; 239 W. Main Street; Richmond, KY 40475
Bids received after this date and time will not be accepted. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids/proposals and waive all informalities and/or technicalities where the best interest of the Owner can be served. The owner will accept the most qualified and best bid that serves their interests.
Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities.
There will be a Prebid meeting held on July 22, 2026. Contractors are welcome to visit the project site.
Contractors can obtain digital documents by visiting Brandstetter Carroll's planroom website www.bciplans.com . The fee for downloading digital documents shall be $75.00. Any printing costs shall be coordinated and incurred by the bidder. For questions regarding procuring documents please contact Brandstetter Carroll Inc. Successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time of 610 calendar days. Work is subject to liquidated damages per the Supplemental Conditions of the Contract.
All bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder.
